The flea market at Merchant Square last Saturday was great! I really didn't expect it to be, because it was so hot out I thought there might not be very many vendors. But I also thought that the ones who were there might be making deals, since it was the last sale of the season. Well, it turned out there were plenty of vendors and even some new ones! And some great deal! I got the greatest vintage vinyl purse with millinery flowers from a new vendor, Redhead Sadie Vintage.
Jenny Kuller is the owner of Redhead Sadie Vintage, and it was her first time at the Merchant Squre Flea Market. I hope she will be back in October, when the Flea Markets start again, because her merchandise was vintage wonderful!
The other vendors had great stuff, too. I got some vintage suitcases, a vintage doll trunk, and way more seed beads than one person should buy in a day. They were $1 per hank or tube! And they were nice ones. Many were 14s, so the price was amazing!
Meanwhile, Merchant Square is open every day, and there are wonderful finds in the store, too. On Saturday I found a beautiful black velvet vintage coat. Not exactly desert wear, but it was wonderful and the price was right, and it fit. So I had to have it! It's a good excuse to go somewhere fun this winter.
Back to the cutting table for me. I am working on more little fabric books and mannequins for the Art & Soul Vendor Night and the Art Unraveled Shopping Extravaganza.
Starsine Wishes,
Karen
